Edgewood Man Arrested In Connection To July 7-Eleven Robbery

An Edgewood man has been arrested in connection to a strong-armed robbery of a Brooklyn Park 7-Eleven that occurred last month, authorities say.

Alexander James Harvey Sr, 38, is accused of robbing the convenience store in the 5617 block of Ritchie Highway around 10 p.m., Friday, July 22, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

Harvey allegedly entered the store and approached the register before lunging over the counter and assaulting the cashier. Police said that Harvey then stole cash from the register and fled the scene.

Harvey was taken into custody on Wednesday, Aug. 10, and has been charged accordingly.
